Does Russia allow dual citizenship?

It is not illegal under Russian law to have dual citizenship; however, Russia will recognize you as a Russian citizen only, even if you acquire another citizenship. That means that your spouse or common-law partner will need to use their Russian passport if they want to go to Russia without a visa.
