MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (Larry Davis) -- A group of quick-acting burglars made a potentially deadly score at a local store.
The thieves got away with guns and ammunition from a store in Middletown, then came back later for more.
Police said that the thieves used a brick to bash out the glass to the front door.
Once inside, the burglars pretty much helped themselves to guns and ammo.
Investigators also say that they need help in not only finding the bad guys but their arsenal as well.
Surveillance video shows three suspects entering the store and going right to the gun display cases.
"They knew what they wanted, Arnold Baughman said.
Arnold Baughman is an employee of the 1 Stop Shipping Shop which serves primarily as a package shipping store but also sells guns.
The video shows the bandits using a hammer to bust the glass on three of the four display cases, taking handguns and ammunition.
Then, about an hour and a half later, one of the three returned with a fourth suspect.
They went back inside the store, using a hammer to bust open a fourth display case and taking another gun.
In all, it's believed seven handguns were stolen along with 25 boxes of ammunition.
"Kind of wonder where they're at, said Baughman.
Police said that the thieves were in and out of the store in about 20 seconds.
They say all were wearing hoodies and some masks.
One suspect was wearing shiny sneakers while another wore a shiny San Francisco Giants jacket.
Baughman said that the thieves may be intent on using the guns and ammo or selling them on the street.
Baughman also said that he will be beefing up security and adding an alarm and bars to the front doors.
Brave or brazen, the store is located pretty much out in the open on Vail Avenue just off from the heart of the downtown business district.
The store said that all the weapons are registered, so local pawn shops have been alerted and are on the lookout for them.
