Predation by introduced species is the No1 threat to kiwi and the domestic cat is the top predator in the New Zealand bush. In this video we see a cat that has managed to avoid a trap and so engrossed in what it's eating that it hardly notices the kiwi that stumbled upon it. Keep in mind that while we can see via the night-vision camera it is pitch black and even the best vision will be severely limited.
