In this new 2015 Braitman Studio class with Nicholas Stewart we explore with creating different surfaces in our artwork using various materials. The class has been putting thought into a diverse surface to paint on. This is only the beginning. We took slabs of clay and created a relief carving; which was then filled with plaster and molded. We changed the carving each time we filled the mold to create a sense of time or change in the layout/composition. MORE to come on this project!
