Hello, it's Mariya Oldfather, CFO at the Oldfather Group of Compass Real Estate.
Today, let's discuss the critical phase of the home selling process – the Home Inspection Contingency.
As a seller under contract, your buyers may initiate a home inspection. Here's what you need to know: We'll coordinate with you to schedule a convenient time for the inspection. Once completed, the buyers receive a detailed report, often with pictures and descriptions of identified issues requiring correction.
Your buyer's agent will communicate any repair requests within a specific timeframe outlined in your contract. Rest assured, your agent or Client Success Coordinator will keep you informed about these crucial deadlines.
Upon receiving the repair requests, you, as the seller, have a designated period to review and respond. Per the Delaware State contract, your responsibility is to address major issues or safety hazards, as defined by the state. Your Client Success Coordinator is here to connect you with reliable contractors and guide you through the process.
