Yesterday, 3 September 2021, the world lost one of the greatest Greek musical composers, Mikis Theodorakis, at the age of 96. This song is one of his innumerable and memorable compositions. It is appropriate to perform this song ("Thank God")as a tribute to a great man. We should indeed thank God for blessing us with Mikis Theodorakis and sharing his huge talent with us for 96 years. All Theodorakis' songs are special, but many will - of course - know him as the composer of the immortal sound track to the film "Zorba the Greek".
