Steppingley is a picturesque Bedfordshire village on the Greensand ridge, close to Ampthill, Flitwick and Woburn. Although a few older buildings survive, most of Steppingley was built by the 7th Duke of Bedford between 1840 and 1872.Three gardens in the village offer an interesting mix of planting styles and design to include pretty courtyards, cottage garden style perennial borders, ponds, a Victorian well, glass houses, an orchard, vegetable gardens, a herb garden, wildlife havens and country views. Livestock include chickens, ducks and fish. Homemade cakes and refreshments served in the garden.
