Have you thought of making a big difference in a child’s life?
Tusla National Fostering Week takes place from October 14th to 20th. A large number of events are taking place nationwide to coincide with the week - at various times, dates and venues.
Tusla now needs:
- Foster carers from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- We are seeking foster carers just like you to provide a safe and stable environment to a child in need.
- We require foster carers to assist us with short-term, emergency, longer term and respite fostering around Ireland, especially in the greater Dublin area, and in large urban environments.
- In particular, we are seeking relatives of children in need of a home, to consider fostering as an option.
Tusla is the only organisation that provides a statutory fostering service to the public.
You don’t have to be perfect to be a perfect foster carer. What you must have is a strong desire to provide a child with nurturing environment in which they can develop. In return, you will gain the satisfaction from helping a child to reach their potential in life, and doing so, creating a long-lasting legacy of change.
Across Ireland some 4,254 Tusla foster carers open their homes to 5,511 children.
Tusla owe our foster carers in each county a big debt of gratitude. Our foster carers are invisible heroes.
