There were 46 school shootings in 2022 - more than in any year since Columbine. This is no surprise given that gun violence is on the rise in America, but research shows that if we “know the signs” of gun violence, we can prevent it and reverse the trend. Beverly Kingston, the Director of the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence at Colorado University, Boulder, shares the three evidence based steps that schools and communities can take to prevent violence.
