This advice in this music video tutorial is exactly what you need to pull off a successful music video shoot whether you own a budget friendly mirrorless / DSLR camera or simply only have a cellphone at your disposal. These tips and tricks I give my advice on for shooting your first music video can still be directly applied to cellphone music video shooting.

Again, as mentioned in the music video tutorial, this was a low budget, run and gun music video. No storyline, minimal slow motion b-roll and kept it to a performance based video. There is no right or wrong way to film music videos and that is why this area of filmmaking is so saturated in 2022. Creators can either create a super simple, to-the-point music video like the one in this music video behind the scenes OR let their creativity run absolutely wild. The intent behind this music video tutorial was to show the new music videographers out there that filming a music video really isn't all that difficult even if you have limited resources! At the end of the day, I used a mirrorless camera body, 35mm lens, wide angle lens, bluetooth speaker and an old $40 tripod.
