MSRP $99.99
Nice for collectors, but if we have learned anything from WotC latest sealed product printings, is they have vastly OVERPRINTED them.
I highly doubt this will keep the MSRP and will follow similar trends as the Modern Even Deck and the Latest Duel Deck Speed vs Cunning where vendors are selling them for a little over cost.
Your opinions are greatly appreciated!
I understand that the cost of buying every one of these decks separately is much more expensive then buying this, however, you must keep in mind that the reason that Demon vs Angelic is expensive in the first place is that it is extremely RARE to find, not that the cards included are necessarily valuable.
Trying to gauge a price by its CURRENT market value and not on the economic aftermath of flooding the market with these box sets is just plain silly.
My question for you, is if you are a casual, competitive or any other MtG player BESIDES a hardcore collector, are you REALLY going to fork over $100 for this? I know so many people that won't fork over $100 for a standard deck and prefer to spend $100 on the booster lottery. The Modern Event deck has had such dismal sales because people aren't willing to fork over $75 for much more value! You can now find Modern Event Decks for $50-55 or two thirds of the MSRP. Speed vs Cunning is following a similar pattern, selling as low as 12.99 on Amazon and Ebay (again two thirds of MSRP). This means Duel Deck Anthologies should be around $65-70 shortly after release unless WotC shows some restraint and limits the amount enters the market place (which hasn't happened in a few years).
