Masterful shell cutting and sleeve installation allows the floor tom and kick drum to separate and rejoin with exceptional precision. With our design, the shell’s tone and resonance are preserved – as if the shells were never cut in two. Penn-Elcom’s steel surface latches provide reliable and consistent latching that will never rattle.

Each and every pound was considered when designing the Brownie Nesting kit. Without minimizing overall weight, nesting drums can quickly become unmanageable and defeat the primary goal of easy transport. Lightweight and durable aircraft aluminum is used for certain hardware, such as the lugs and Ahead rack tom suspension mount. Depending on the size configuration, 3-piece Brownie Nesting kits weigh between 35 pounds to 40 pounds – including the case.
