Dr. Janine Bowring explains 6 ways to detox naturally and these tips can be incorporated daily. First and foremost make sure to be drinking plenty of water when you are incorporating these detox methods, not only to hydrate your body but also to assist in the detoxification process. Here are the 6 simple ways to detox your body:
#6. Beets, these earthy red beauties contain betalains, which are important for detoxification for phase two in the liver. They also help with detoxification in the kidneys. Raw beets are the best form to consume to maximize the antioxidant effect. A small beet every day is great to introduce to your body as you detox.
#5. Parsley, a fresh herb to incorporate into the diet, which is great for detoxing the kidneys. Not only is it good for getting rid of the toxins but also for the prevention and treatment of kidney stones. You can add parsley to your salads, cooking and even smoothies or shakes!
#4. Ginger, a great root that provides fiber, helps with liver and gallbladder detoxification; this is great for the absorption and digestion of our fats but also for the detox mechanism that happens in the liver and gallbladder. Ginger also helps to speed up the stomach emptying of you food therefore helping with digestion as well. Ginger also helps with nausea! A great tip for when your tummy is not feeling the greatest.
