The National Medicines Policy – the NMP – tells us how every Australian can access and use medicines, vaccines, and treatments.
The NMP applies to medicines research, development, regulation, manufacturing, supply, and access to medicines.
It promotes the quality use of medicines by focusing on the needs of different people and the responsibilities of health professionals to make sure we can achieve the best possible health outcomes for everyone.
