 The only agency in India to accredit and monitor these very high and stringent norms is the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) under QCI , which is equal to such agencies else anywhere in the world . Thind Eye Hospital has been accredited by the NABH and the certificate was awarded by the NABH to the Thind Eye Hospital on January 2013.  Various milestones achieved in providing best eye care to the region are:-

 Started Stitchless Cataract Surgery (Phaco) in 1994 and shifted to Modern No Injection, No Stitch, and No Bandage Phaco in 1995 since then hospital is recognized as a pioneer centre for Cataract Surgery and Intra ocular Lens Implantation.
 In 1998 the Centre Introduced Lasik for 1st time in North India.
 In 1999 the centre introduced state of the art Vitreo-Retinal centre.
 In 2001 Dr. J S Thind implanted the 1st ICL for refractive error correction in INDIA and since then has implanted ICL in more than five thousand patients.
 In 2002 Lasik was upgraded to Wavefront Guided Zypotix Lasik.
 In 2007 Blade free Lasik was introduced and upgraded to IFS System of Custom Vue Lasik in 2009.
 Since Inception of Lasik hospital is recognized as a Pioneer Centre for Refractive Surgery and records maximum numbers of refractive procedures performed in INDIA.
 In 2009 hospital started full fledged Specialized Pediatric Ophthalmology, Squint, Orbit, Oculoplasty and Glaucoma services.
 In 2010 Govt. of Punjab accredited the hospital as 1st and only one to provide EYE BANK AND EYE CORNEAL TRANSPLANT facilities in Jalandhar.
