Shooting and demonstrating the classic Colt Dragoon ( 3rd Model). Come enjoy the trials and tribulations our forefathers experienced in order to have a revolver that would fire six powerful .44 rounds ( Actually, it is 45 caliber) back in the late 1840s.
I had both .451 and .454 size round balls and figured the .454 would certainly be large enough since they work in the 1860 Army Colt, but this thing needs .457, at least. I have some on order and will let you know how they work. The patches work, but who needs yet another step to further complicate the loading process. :-)
