The League of Votann represents a long-lost human civilization that has re-emerged into the galaxy from isolation. They are often referred to as the "Kin" and are known for their advanced technology strong societal bonds and short stature.

They are descendants of humanity who were part of the Age of Technology's colonization efforts. They settled in the region known as the Galactic Core and due to their isolation, they developed independently of the Imperium of Man. Their society is structured around Clans and is highly collectivist, valuing the community and its survival over individual achievements.

Their technology is a significant aspect of their identity, combining highly advanced machines and artificial intelligence, which they call "Ancestor Cores." These AI systems are revered, not unlike deities, and are integral to their societal functions and warfare capabilities.
