The 82901 / 82902 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Tejas Express is a train on the Ahmedabad–Mumbai route. It is a semi-high speed, fully air-conditioned train Introduced by Indian Railways connecting Ahmedabad to Mumbai along with six stations named Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali. This train is start running from 19 January 2020. The fare of the train will be dynamic.
Since its inauguration, this train is India's second private train after Lucknow - New Delhi Tejas Express, both operated by IRCTC.
For the first time entertainment facilities have been introduced in Indian Railways. The Ahmedabad – Mumbai Tejas is the first Indian train to have LCD screens for each individual passengers though this facility will be available only in Executive Chair Car. In the LCD passengers can enjoy Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati movies, listen music as well as Passenger Information System is also available. Moreover, Passengers ca enjoy on-board free WiFi facilities.
Tejas Express (82902) will depart from Ahmedabad at 06.40 am via Nadiad, Vadodara Bharuch, Surat, Vapi & Borivali to Mumbai Central railway station. The train will reach to Mumbai at 1.10 pm.
Tejas Express (82901) will depart from Mumbai to Ahmedabad Junction railway station at 3.40 pm and will reach to Ahmedabad at 9.55 pm.
The train will not operate on Thursday, it will be working on all other Six days.
It is hauled by a Vadodara based WAP 7 (HOG) equipped locomotive from end to end.

Ahmedabad Junction railway station (station code: ADI) is the main railway station of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It is also the biggest railway station within Gujarat. It is the second-highest income-generating division in Western Railways after the Mumbai Division.
Ahmedabad Junction is the primary station of rail transport for the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat, India and an important center of the Western Railways zone of the Indian Railways. Locally, people refer to it as Kalupur Station (as it is situated in the Kalupur area of the walled city). It serves trains that connect Ahmedabad to different parts of Gujarat, as well as major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Trivandrum, Ajmer, Dhanbad, Daltonganj, Gwalior, Jaipur, Indore and Howrah.
IRCTC has launched its VIP class executive lounge on platform 1 for passengers to spend their waiting time on economy rates which offers free wifi, urinals, AC, news paper, recliners and foods.
Mumbai Central (formerly Bombay Central, station code: MMCT) is a major railway station on the Western line, situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra in an area known by the same name. It serves as a major stop for both Local and Inter-City/Express trains with separate platforms for them. It is also a terminal for several long distance trains including the Mumbai Rajdhani Express. It is one of the five major Terminal stations in Mumbai while others being Mumbai CST, Mumbai LTT, Mumbai BDTS and Mumbai Dadar. Trains depart from the station connecting various destinations mostly across states in the northern, western and north-western parts of India. The station was renamed from Bombay Central to Mumbai Central in 1997, following the change of Bombay to Mumbai. In 2018, a resolution was passed to change the station code to MMCT, with implementation ongoing.
The station is divided into two parts. The eastern half of the station serves long-distance trains operated by Western Railways while the western half serves commuter trains running on the Churchgate–Virar suburban section of Western Railways.
RailTel, the telecom arm of the Indian Railways, on 22 January 2016 launched free public Wi-Fi service at Mumbai Central station in collaboration with Google.
The concourse on the mainline side has an outlet of Rajdhani chain of restaurants serving authentic Indian food.
