Gamja Jorim is an easy Korean side dish that you can make too!
Gamja Jorim means braised potato but you can add additional vegetables and proteins to make it a whole meal!
You can add your favorite vegetables and proteins and make your own version!
* Ingredients
- Potato small 3ea
- Carrot small 1ea
- Onion 1/2ea
- Scallion 1ea
- Sausage 1ea
- Garlic clove 2-3ea
- Oil as needed
- Sesame seeds as needed
Sauce
- Soy Sauce 40g
- Sugar 20g
- Oyster Sauce 10g (optional)
- Pepper t.t
- Water 50g
- Kombu 1ea (optional)
* Method
1. Peel and cut potatoes into bite-sized pieces and soak in water for 10 minutes.
2. Chop onion, carrot, scallion, garlic, and sausage.
3. Combine sauce ingredients.
4. Add oil and garlic to a small pot and cook until it's a bit brown.
5. Add the potatoes to the pot and mix and cook for 2 minutes.
6. Add carrots to the pot and cook for 2 minutes as well.
7. Add the onions, sausage, and the sauce to the pot and give it a good mix then cook with the lid on for 5 minutes.
8. Remove the lid and cook until the sauce is reduced and the veggies are tender.
9. Plate it in a bowl, garnish with the chopped scallions and sesame seeds, and enjoy!
