(11 Nov 2014) Croatian Prime Minister while visiting the Czech Republic during a state visit on Tuesday said the countries outside the European Union fared better during the financial crises since they did not have to follow Brussels' directives.
"The policy of unconditional savings seemed to be correct five years ago but it did not bring results. Paradoxically those countries outside of the Eurozone who didn't have to follow this strategy were the only ones with economical growth."
He also said Croatia plans to have a lower deficit and hopes it will be one of the lowest in all of Europe, "the Croatian government is planning a lower deficit and which will be a successful strategy, we will try to be better with our finances and have as low of a deficit as possible."
