The Southern African Customs Union is calling on businesses who trade within SADC to join its Authorised Economic Operator programme. The AEO is an initiative of the customs union that aims to boost regional trade by granting benefits to organised commercial traders who voluntarily comply with certain criteria. The customs union has ended a three-day trade facilitation programme in Johannesburg.
