Fret Maestro claims to be the best fret leveling device ever made. Does it work? Is it any good? Does it have a use in guitar setup? Or is it just a gimmick?

Leveling frets is easy with the right tools and knowledge. But it can be a bit hard to understand at first. This video was originally intended to simply be an overview of the principles of fretwork, and an analysis of the Fret Maestro device and the questionable claims surrounding it. But it slowly developed into a 45 minute-long exposé, as more and more revelations came to light while researching it.
