Fun Fact : Cool Celebrities have stayed at Fairmont Hotel McDonald — All on the Third Floor; that being said I noticed the 7th Floor is VIP Status;
There’s only one elevator to the Third Floor and covered heavily with security and security cameras. The basic cost for any of the third floor rooms start at $3000 per night ; to celebrities that’s pretty much a drop in the bucket.
To compare, we received a 20% discount off our base room price (Fairmont King) with Bed & Breakfast package and a comp upgrade to Deluxe View room.
$609 (++ fee/tax) before the discount and upgrade . It will be $327.20 plus Tax after applying 20% discount which will include breakfast and we will provide a complimentary upgrade in your room category. I also have valet parking, costing me $50 plus tip

As well - Carol Burnett opened the balcony doors of her third-floor suite and sang “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina”, to the patio guests below
Of course, our favourite, Gene Simmons showed up and crashed a wedding , a nice surprise for one couple; earlier the bride had noticed Gene Simmons on the third floor and asked for a selfie. He not only obliged, he crashed the wedding too - what an amazing way to top your wedding day !
Brad Pitt arrived in his motorcycle; which is pretty cool, because I swear I must of waved to him during the time we crossed paths , also on his motorbike at his secret residence in Spruce Grove ; had no idea who it was ; only that he had a cool motorbike; I gave the thumbs up and he titled his helmet ; it was during his filming of “THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES” . Maybe after filming he took time to relax at Fairmont Hotel MacDonald ; I believe that would make sense.
Apparently there have been so many other celebrities that one can’t count on one hand. That would make perfect sense, since Fairmont Hotel MacDonald is pretty much the luxurious place to stay while in Edmonton ; so far…
