Resurrection Ertugul is filmed around 1260-1280s ,the darkest part of Islamic history in terms of conquest and steadfastness of faith . Post 1258 invasion by Mongols , the muslims around the world had started to feel gaps and weaknesses in islam as a complete religion. The devastation done by Mongols had some Muslims made to believe as the end of the world. It was only after scholars like Ibn tamiyyah and probably warriors like Ertugul to give some hope to the muslims around the world in islam as the solution of every problem. The Muslim world was derailed first time in 700 years and to stitch it back in those times is worth applauding..

Ertugrul Ghazi overall has a powerful message throughout. The whole series is based on the fight of good vs evil. Throughout the series, there are so many references to the Quran and Islamic teachings. This drama has an educational value and it opens up your minds. You learn as you go and that too while getting entertained by the story. The main message of this series is that it is really important to hold on to your faith and eventually good triumphs over evil. It also has the message that one must hold on to their good values even when faced with the most adverse circumstances.
