The Baltic port city has a tramway network with a size of about 66 km. With the exception of the fast tramway (Szybki Tramwaj) to the airport and the Turkusowa terminus, the entire network is on the western bank of the River Oder (Odra).
The city has a large fleet of cascaded Tatra single units and articulated trams from Berlin. These are often still in the old yellow colors of Berlin's public transport operator BVG. Some old, high-floor Konstal trams and modernized Modertrans Alfa and Beta vehicles are also part of the fleet. The 28 low-floor Swing trams were supplied by Pesa in 2011.

In Stettin fahren noch viele der ehemaligen Berliner Tatras, inklusive den KT4D Gelenkwagen und den kantigen T6A2. Diese wurden zwischen 2006 und 2008 von Berlin nach Stettin übergeben. Die anderen Wagen in der örtlichen Flotte des kommunalen Betreibers Tramwaje Szczecińskie sind Alfa Solowagen und Beta Gelenkwagen von Modertrans. Diverse Tramachsen wurden schon erneuert in den letzten paar Jahren, doch viele Gleise, vor allem beim Hauptbahnhof Szczecin Główny, sind noch in einem sehr schlechten Zustand.
