Here is a short demo on using a 2 stroke ruff in different stickings and articulations. The rhythms are the same but the way they are played changes the sound of them in subtle ways. This is inspired by the rudimental type of swing solo language commonly heard from greats like Philly Joe Jones, Buddy Rich and Kenny Clarke.
