A fifth term in office with 85% of vote. A resounding victory last we ekend for Belarus' authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko - but an election which international monitors unsurprisingly said fell short of democratic standards.
Nonetheless, moves by Lukashenko, including the pardoning of six opposition figures in the run-up to the election, suggests he could be seeking to improve his image abroad. But according to the OSCE, much work remains to be done
