What is Vesicovaginal fistula(VVF)?
A fistula is an abnormal communication between two organs: in VVF this communication is between vagina and bladder. As a result of this, the patient unknowingly leaks urine through the vagina throughout the day.
Such a fistula needs repair by an expert urologist. The bladder and the vagina need to be separated and closed after placing a patch of omentum in between.
