On Sunday, the Feast of the Holy Family, Bishop Onah inaugurated the Jubilee Year of Hope in the diocese of Nsukka, marking the beginning of a year filled with faith, renewal, and community spirit.
The Holy Father had announced that 2025 will be a Jubilee Year, a sacred event occurring every 25 years. The theme for Jubilee 2025 is “Pilgrims of Hope,” offering a beacon of hope for a world grappling with the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the climate crisis. This year promises to inspire and uplift, providing solace and optimism in challenging times.
The event also coincided with Diocesan Project Support Sunday, highlighting the collaborative efforts and support for various diocesan projects especially the Bishop Shanahan Hospital project.
