Palak Tambuli is a delicious and healthy spinach curd (yogurt) recipe that makes a perfect side dish for rice. This Palak Tambuli recipe is not only tasty but also healthy and easy to make. Enjoy your meal! Here's a quick and easy recipe without onion and garlic:
🥣Ingredients:
Spinach - 1 fistful, chopped
Curd/yogurt - 3/4 cup
Urad dal(black gram) - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Green chilies - 1
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Mustard seeds - a pinch
Red chilli - 1. broken
Curry leaves - 6 to 8
Oil - 2 tsp + 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Water - 1/2 cup or as needed
🥣Instructions:
Rinse and chop spinach
In a pan, roast urad dal until golden brown
add jeera/cumin. Roast for few seconds
Add Green chilli, saute few seconds
add spinach and saute until spinach are soft or until wilted. It takes 1-2 minutes
Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool down.
Once cooled, transfer to the blender + grated coconut+ salt + water
Grind to a smooth paste.
Transfer to a bowl. The mixture is called tambuli.
Adjust the consistency. Neither not thick Nor thin.
Prepare Tempering:
In a pan, heat some oil. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add red chilli, curry leaves and saute for few seconds
Pour the tempering over the tambuli.
Mix well and serve with rice.
