Tucson Jamz Episode 17 "The Tiki God - Hosted by Deacon Bunnell known in Tucson Arizona as "The Deacon". Deacon has always had the best Tucson Live-Music Open Mic show for over 20 years and is still performing it now on Tuesday noghts at The Chicago Bar in 2017! Tucson Musicians are always looking for The Deacon so they can show up to his Professional Live Jam which he has called the "Toe Jam" over the years until Chris Haskell came along and said to The Deacon......"Someone needs to do a TV show about you!" and Chris Haskell went on to do exactly that! So now Deacon's professional Music Jam was called Tucson Jamz and Haskell continued to make 20 half hour episodes which aired on Access Tucson (Public TV Channel) from 2006 t0 2010! During it's time airing on public Access TV, it started at Berky's bar on east speedway, then Berkys ended up closing it's doors, so producer Chris Haskell got Deacon the next gig for Deacon's live Pro Jam at The Hut on 4th ave which remained the shooting location until the end of the episodes! The Hut now holds the Tucson relick of "The Tike God" which is a large statue which use to be at Magic Carpet golf on Speedway west of Wilmot. Tucson long time residents will remember the Tiki God!
