I had the opportunity to interview the Kevin Noerteker CEO of Ampaire, a hybrid-electric airplane company that has raised $22.45 million to retrofit existing airplanes with this technology.
In this video, Kevin breaks down the technology behind this hybrid electric technology and why he decided to work on such a hard problem.
By 2050, aviation emissions are expected to triple. We have no other option but to transition to electric and hybrid airplanes to fix this problem, similar to what we did for cars.
I’m convinced that most planes will adopt hybrid-electric propulsion as it reduces the overall cost of running an aircraft and it reduces aviation emissions.
