MEDFORD, Ore. -- Jackson County road crews are getting ready for the winter storm is expected to our region Friday.John Vial of Jackson County Roads says his department has been preparing for months.Their plows are ready and with more than 900 miles of county roads, Vial says clearing those roads can be a challenge.According to Vials its a difficult job, one of the characteristic of county roads, they are narrow roads with not a lot of shoulder, tend to be somewhat unforgiving, if you make a mistake, you're off the road, so keep your speeds down.Vial says drivers also need to take their time and be careful.
