𝙎𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙀 𝙒𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍 - 10/13 1 PM ET - Periods of rain with embedded thunderstorms will impact parts of New England this afternoon and evening and last into Friday morning.
While the threat risk remains low, strong to severe thunderstorms are possible within the heaviest bands, and those storms may produce damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph.
However, the main threat will be flash flooding as rainfall rates in some areas may approach or exceed 1" per hour resulting in widespread rainfall amounts of 1-2" with localized totals upwards of 2.5" possible, much of which could be delivered over a short amount of time.
