CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A man admitted Thursday to giving drugs to the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run who later died. Judge Jerome Metz sentenced Kadeem Kelley to three years in prison.
Kelley pleaded guilty to one count of attempted corrupting another with drugs. Charges of involuntary manslaughter and drug trafficking were dropped in exchange for the guilty plea.
Kelley gave fentanyl to Satwinder Singh while Singh was in the Hamilton County Justice Center awaiting trial. Singh was accused of being under the influence when he hit and killed a toddler on the Hopple Street Viaduct.
Singh overdosed and died.
Kelley does get credit for serving 133 days in jail while he was awaiting trial.
