We just wrapped up the recording of my latest tutorial called: Colored Gel Lighting. Take a look around in my studio right after we were done as I demonstrate how I created the last images of the tutorial, the DJ Look.

In this new photography tutorial I’m going to teach you how to use gels with studio strobes and how you can have complete control over colors on your images. Using colored gels in your lighting gives you endless possibilities and variations to make your images way more exciting.

I’m going to demonstrate different techniques using one, two or even three different colors within an image. As a bonus, I’ll mix in some white light as well and talk about the most common mistakes and to detect and avoid them. You’ll learn how to get those beautiful saturated bold colors in camera and how to further enhance them in the editing process. To give you and example for both and show you the difference between them, I’ll be using hard and soft light modifiers.

In the editing videos I’ll walk you through every step of my signature editing process plus all the tricks I do to further enhance and correct the colors of the photo.
