-Expected DA with effect from 1.7.2024
• The Labour Bureau has released CPI for the month of February, March & April 2024 only on 7.6.2024 after the serious demand placed by the Staff Side.
• There was unusual delay and to our dismay that in the month of March 2024, the CPI stood decreased by 0.3% and stood at 138.9. For April it was stated as 139.4
• As per the statistics up to April the increased DA was 52.43%
• Now the PIB released the CPI on 10.7.2024 for the month of May 2024 in which there is a increase of 0.5% ie.139.9.
• Accordingly, up to May 2024, the expected DA will be less than 53% . But while adding the expected increase in the CPI it will definitely cross 53% and there is no chance to reach 54%.
• Therefore, the increase of DA will be only 3% this time with effect from 1.7.2024.
