In connection with the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 paper leak, which involved the engineering entrance test administered by the Person Testing Agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detained a Russian national (NTA). The CBI had already opened an investigation into the alleged manipulation of the JEE (Mains) examination last year and had issued a "Look Out Circular" against Mikhail Shargin, who was thought to be the primary hacker responsible for the paper leak of the esteemed test in India. According to the CBI-led probe, Russian hacker Mikhail Shargin is accused of tampering with the iLeon program, the platform used to administer the JEE (Main)-2021 test.
