Great news today as it was announced Jet2 will be launching a new base from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and travelling to 20 destinations, seven of which are exclusive to Liverpool, which will create over 200 jobs.
The first Jet2 flight will depart the airport on 28 March 2024, perfect timing for the Easter Holidays.
In its first summer of operations from LJLA, Jet2 will operate up to 54 weekly flights, including 12 flights to both the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands every week. A fleet of four Liverpool-based aircraft will fly customers to a wide choice of destinations across mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Portugal, Madeira, and Cyprus!
The programme also includes seven exclusive summer routes to Gran Canaria, Menorca, Rhodes, Madeira, Paphos and Bourgas. With multiple weekly flights, customers will be able to enjoy fantastic flexibility when it comes to choosing the duration of their holiday.
We spoke to John Irving to find out more about the announcement.
