Psychological horror, 'IN FLAMES', premiering in UK Cinemas on May 24th, courtesy of @bluefinchfilmsuk6688 #InFlames delves into the harrowing effects of gendered oppression and captures the terror of youthful love within a rigid patriarchal society.
Following the demise of the family patriarch, a mother and daughter face an uncertain future. Their fragile world is shattered as ominous figures from their past emerge, forcing them to draw strength from one another to confront the sinister forces surrounding them.
Marking the directorial debut of award-winning filmmaker Zarrar Kahn, 'IN FLAMES' is produced by Anam Abbas, known for 'The Stained Dawn'. The film stars Ramesha Nawal, Omar Javaid in his acclaimed role as Hafiz, Bakhtawar Mazhar recognized for 'Wakhri (One of a Kind)' and 'The Queen of my Dreams', and Adnan Shah Tipu, famous for 'Sub Set Hai' and 'Bakhtawar'.
Having premiered at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, 'IN FLAMES' also proudly stood as Pakistan’s entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2024 Academy Awards.
Supported by the BFI Audience Projects Fund and National Lottery funding, 'IN FLAMES' is committed to bringing more underrepresented stories to the forefront.
