Dr. Franz Werner Michel of Domdechant-Werner shares his memories of his very first harvest in either 1948 or 1949 and how they selected what looked like rotten berries to produce a TBA (trockenbeerenauslese) wine of noble sweetness. Dr. Michel was the long time head of the German Wine Institute and his estate has been a member of the VDP for eighty years. Ask a Winemaker sat with Dr. Werner at his estate thanks to the support and cooperation of the Wines of Germany in March 2013. The winery's website is: [ Ссылка ]
