This is the engine compartment view point of the manual shifting on a 2013 Golf R, equipped with a Forge Motorsport Adjustable Quick Shifter setup (front-to-back & side-to-side components installed), Integrated Engineering Billet Shifter Bracket Bushings, and Integrated Engineering Billet Shifter Cable End Bushings. The Forge shifter components are adjusted for the shortest travel on both components.
Shifting position order of video is: N, 1-6, N, 1. Side-to-side "slop" of the shifter is not as bad as it seems while driving. It is caused by a combination of rotational play in the ball-joint of the side-to-side lever, and the gap between the teflon linkage connector attached to the ball-joint and the front-to-back lever arm.
