Here is another great arrangement of a classic tune "This Masquerade", written by Leon Russell and arranged for guitar by Walter Rodrigues Jr.. This song/tune has been recorded by George Benson and "The Carpenters" amongst many others. However these are the versions I am most familiar with and, together with Paula, we perform a vocal version of the song in other recordings and live performances.
This is a great guitar solo version that I'm looking forward to performing live. I've been looking for an opportunity to use an extra pickup on the lower two strings of my guitar, together with a "micro POG" octaver, to create the effect of a bass guitar accompanying a 6 string arrangement and took the inspiration for Walter Rodrigues Jr. on his recording where he uses the facilities of his Godin Multiac guitar to achieve a similar effect. I'm not sure my solution works as well as his, but I think it works well enough for me to use on stage as an occasional "live" effect. I hope you may like it!
Thanks for listening.
