A group of frogs were hopping across a field when two of them accidently fell into a hole.
When the other frogs saw how deep the how was, they told the fallen frogs “GIVE UP… you are as GOOD as DEAD!”
The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump out of the hole. The other frogs continued to yell “Give Up, you CAN’T MAKE IT!”
Eventually, one of the frogs gave in, gave up, and simply fell down and died.The other frog kept jumping, even though the others continued to shout “GIVE UP already!”
The more they yelled, the higher he jumped until he finally managed to jump out of the hole. “Why did you not just give up? Did you not hear us?” asked the group of frogs.
The now free frog explained that he was deaf. He thought they’d been shouting words of encouragement to help him escape the hole.
Moral of the story
1. Words can carry the power of life and death.
2. Sometime you have to be deaf to the crowd around you.
3. The frog escaped because he BELIEVED it was Possible!
