Here I show you how to make a quick and simple mini album. The pages are 4 3/4 X 6 3/4 so it will absolutely fit 16 4X6 photos. You can add additional photos in the back pocket. I also show you how to use color blocking to decorate the pages as an option.
This tutorial also shows you how to use your paper pad cover and back to make a chipboard cover and spine.
This mini album does not use a hinge binding system so it is quick and easy. Make a few and keep on hand to add photos for a quick gift.
Measurements:
Chipboard: (3) 5 X 7 for covers
(2) 1 1/4 X 7 for spines
I used both 65lb cardstock and 110 lb cardstock. I used the 65lb to wrap the mini album, cover the spine and for the pocket. I used the 110 lb cardstock for the pages. If you only have the lighter weight it will work as well.
65 Lb Cardstock (2) 8 1/2 X 11 for the cover
6 7/8 X 4 1/2 to cover the spine
5 7/8 X 4 for the pocket, score 1/2, 1/2 and 1/2 (see video)
110 lb cardstock for the pages:
(2) 9 3/4 X 6 3/4, rotate twice and score at 4 3/4 again
(2) 10 1/4 X 6 3/4 Score at 4 3/4, rotate twice and score at 4 3/4 again
Decorative Paper:
COVERS:(6) 5 X 6 7/8 (inside back one needs to be a smidgen smaller to go inside pocket)
SPINE: (2) 1 5/16 X 6 7/8
PAGES: (16) 6 9/16 X 4 9/16
Back inside pocket 3 1/4 X 4 5/8
Other supplies: Paper cutter,scoreboard and stylus, scor-tape, adhesive,scissors,and a bone folder.
