Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to announce date of Delhi civic body polls today at 4 PM. Earlier it was scheduled to be held in the first half of 2022, But later on it were postponed after the Centre's decision to unify three municipal corporations into the MCD.BJP has been in power in the civic bodies for the past 15 years and won the 2007 elections when Municipal Corporation of Delhi as a unified body. The party was also victorious in the first election after trifurcation in 2012 and 2017.
