Beyond Prejudice: Survivors of the Dog Meat Trade is a portrait series by photographer, artist and dog advocate Sophie Gamand (creator of Pit Bull Flower Power) in partnership with Humane Society International/Korea. Gamand lends her talent to showcase the resilience, beauty and individuality of dogs rescued by HSI/Korea from the South Korea dog meat industry, who have now become part of loving families.
This photo collection includes over 30 dogs of different breeds and sizes and is designed to change public perceptions, influence policymakers and build momentum in support of HSI/Korea’s campaign to end the dog meat industry. This behind-the-scenes video features Sophie Gamand; actor Daniel Henney, singer-songwriter Annie Ko, HSI/Korea experts and more.
