The first and most straightforward way to qualify is to compete in a regular USAT-sanctioned age group triathlon of any distance. All non-championship tournaments are included in this category. To be eligible to compete, an athlete must finish in the top three (3) or top 25% of finishers in their age category.

-Eligibility based on age group
To be considered, you must be a current Core or Ultimate member of one of the British Triathlon Home Nations: Triathlon England/Triathlon Scotland/Welsh Triathlon. The International Triathlon Union (ITU) recognizes your Core or Ultimate membership as qualifying for a race license, and your race license is recognized internationally (ITU).

Your lawful residence in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or your citizenship in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland must be established before you may apply. You must be in good standing with your home country, British Triathlon, and the International Triathlon Union.
