Recently several European countries temporarily halted use of the Astrazeneca COVID 19 vaccine due to concerns it may be causing blood clots. More concerning was a potential increase in the incidence of two severe clotting disorders, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). In this video I review what caused the concern, how the European Medicals Agency responded, and ultimately what was decided regarding the safety of the vaccine.
