Foreword
Kazi Nazrul Islam lived most part of his physical and creative life in west Bengal of undivided india. But brought him to Bangladesh on 24 th May 1972, honored him with the citizenship of Bangladesh, and accorded him as the National Poet of the independent Bangladesh. Thereafter Nazrul Institute was established in 1985 according to the Nazrul Institute Ordinance 1984 as a statutory body to collect, preserve and extend the facts of his life and works in proper manner, form and spirit. The said Ordinance was further amended and enacted as 'Kabi Nazrul Institute Ain, 2018' and poet Nazrul was defind as the National Poet of Bangladesh under its section No 2(b).
Kazi Nazrul Islam is legally declared National Poet of Bangladesh and the Institute named after him is rightfully entitled with the responsibility of collecting, preserving and disseminating the facts of his life and creative works. Though the Institute is empowered to receive income and assets, but its objective in no way is to earn profit.
Nazrul’s literature and music are the weath of humankind. All the successors to him have the same level of rights in enjoying his contribution to creative works. Kabi Nazrul Institute has provided ‘link’ with the original record of songs, just to keep commitment to honour human rights in larger sense, for enjoyment, use and protetion by the greater humankind for learning propsoe only. This ‘link’ has not been in any way intended in narrow sense of earning any profit or violation of `Copyright’ of any concern whatsoever.
